  • I would enjoy an occasional video of custom, modified or odd vehicles, e.g. street/drag cars, the AMG 6x6, rock/bouncers (e.g. found on madram11 channel), the world's "largest" and/or world's smallest, F1 and/or Indy cars, NASCARs and other odd or modified vehicles. Of course you would need to be able to drive them.

  • I just watched your video about how you got started, and it was very informative, funny and inspiring... Would you consider modifying your Doug Score so that you're not always comparing apples to starfish, and include separate categories? The final straw for me was when you gave a low acceleration score for the Lincoln Navigator, because you were comparing it to the acceleration of sports cars. I just said, something's got to give here. I really enjoyed your review of the Ferrari GTC4Lusso, which is my favorite new Ferrari, and then at the end of your review you gave the car some low scores when compared to totally different vehicles. I know when it comes to the looks of a car it can be a subjective call, but I think that the Lusso looks great, much better than a 5 out of 10. Especially considering how ugly other new Ferraris are. "Not particularly special or unique"??? A front mid-engined V12 shooting-brake 2 door wagon/hatchback is not particularly special or unique?.. How can anyone say that? Yes, I would put this car in a museum. Doug, would you consider revising your scoring for the Lusso? Would that be an absolutely unprecedented forbidden thing for you to do? Does a Doug Score have to be irreversible? I honestly believe that this truly special Ferrari and a truly special one of a kind car deserves a few extra points than what you originally gave it. I know other Ferraris provide more of an adrenaline rush, but not with these good looks and daily drivability. You mentioned in that video about how you got started that you considered going to law school if things didn't work out with what you were doing. With that in mind I am making an appeal for a more fair hearing than your original Lusso verdict, because it was just so wrong. (:-(

  • Has Doug ever reviewed the Porsche 911 Targa? Preferably a clean example with no spoiler tacked onto it. silverarrowcars.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2017-Porsche-911-Targa-4S-100.jpg The car is beautiful, does it work as good as it looks? i.ytimg.com/vi/6H7xSw7bEms/maxresdefault.jpg The retractable top is brilliant.

    • I remember how awkward looking 911 Targas were in the past. They didn't look nearly as good or right as the 911 hardtops, but all that has changed now. In fact, now, the 911 Targa is the best looking of all the 911s. Very classy, and very modern looking both, top up or top down. I can't say that about any other retractable top car or convertible of any make or model that I can think of at this moment. It was usually only t-top cars that didn't compromise a car's form. Like those late 70s to early 80s Pontiac Trans Ams. www.transamnmuscle.com/images/detail3/81%20ta%20new%20pics/P1050522.JPG Man, you know Burt Reynolds passed away last month. Wouldn't it be cool for you to do a review of one of those Trans Ams? The last of its kind was made in 1981, which might be the best example. 1981 was the final year of the second generation body style made famous in the “Smokey & the Bandit” movies. Just a thought. What about that early 80s bustle-back Seville pimpmobile?.. Wouldn't that be fun?.. It was a love it or hate it kind of car, and I loved it then, and still do. Maybe pimps have good taste in cars.

  • Hey Doug, Recently I was helping someone move, and she had rented a Nissan NV400 van. It's got cubbies and things everywhere that seemed like they would turn it into a good place to do paperwork for deliveries, but I don't think you can get your hands on one stateside (and now that I think of it, the A pillar looks like it would go squish in a rollover). However, it got me thinking that a review of the vehicle you use to move from your current(?) rental house to the house you end up in over there could be contrasting and interesting, since it's a vehicle that doesn't have the same purpose as the ones you normally review.

  • Do more things that you have never done before! I prefer the more creative videos, quality over quantity. Like this video- songinstitute.ca/detail/video-JGIOk9ZW-J8.html - I have never seen a love of a particular model like this, your quirks are good but this is really crazy. Imagine if in your reviews you provided the obscure details that this guy provides.

  • Love the concept behind this new channel. I always enjoyed your videos that diverge from you main review format. I have a suggestion. I would love to see a video on the process of making your review videos, perhaps a longer 30-40 min video covering thinks like: decideding what car to review, preperation, finding quirks, writing script, filming, etc. I think it would be really interesting. Perhaps posted on your main channel with a plug to this channel to get some some you "regular" viewers into alternative Doug videos. Thanks from a long time fran from Sweden, keep up the good work. ps If you ever visit sweden I might be able to arrange something to review for you. We have a lot of old quirky volvos and saabs.

  • Also, could you maybe do car videos about what the best 5 or 10 cars in category "A" under the price of "B"? Like, "here's my pick of the best top 5 (or 10, or whatever number) practical sporty cars under $50,000" or something like that. I'd imagine there could be quite a lot of videos like that, especially if you were aiming at more specific prices like between $75,000 to $100,000 or something like that

  • I love your car reviews, and one thing I've noticed and that you've even stated, is that you don't know much about car audio. If you are wanting to know, the MECP Basic book is a great overkill way to learn. It does talk a lot about installing car audio primarily, but also talks about audio itself, so you if only want to know about the audio, you'd probably be skipping 75 to 90% of the book, but it does give good info. Other suggestion is to find someone that is widely known to know great car audio and check out your own music that you always listen to on their system(s), maybe go a little over more advance audio controls and whatnot that goes over more than just the volume, fade/balance, bass, and treble settings. And, make sure it can handle loud volumes without distortion. Some people might be hard on hearing or like to drive highway speeds with their windows down, but still want to hear their audio to the fullest

  • I think you should come to Europe and try out all kind of weird cars you can find here. Someone suggested a roadtrip and that's quite a neat idea. But during that roadtrip you should switch cars every couple of days or so, so that you get to try out as many cars as possible. Maybe you can even come to Sweden and pay a visit at Koenigseggs headquarter and be able to try out their latest and greatest which i have missed on your channel. I know you have a family to consider but with the right planning they can come along and it will be a big family adventure just like in the National Lampoon's European Vacation movie. ;-)

  • I really miss on the first channel doing some interview with the owners of the cars you get, so many people cross your way with so many intersting cars, would be nice to see the face of those people and some small chat about their car, some fun story, why they bought it, do they regret buying it, while both drive around in the car.

And now it's awesome to be invited and check out what this channel will be about. I'm getting to the point where I strive to get a car you would want to review! I have a 1995 BMW in very original shape, even if you don't do a review on it, you should come and drive it and have a beer next time you're in Oregon.
